Top start of a new season.

Taking advantage of the relaxation of health restrictions, the Puy du Fou officially reopens its doors this Thursday at 9:30 am.

The second most visited French theme park in France behind Disneyland, the Vendée site had been closed since the fall.

This long-awaited reopening will nevertheless take place in stages since, until June 30, visitors will be welcomed from Thursday to Sunday only.

The performances of the Cinéscénie night show will also not resume until July 3.

On the site, the wearing of the mask will be compulsory for visitors over 11 years old, while the gauges of the shows will be reduced (5,000 people maximum), ensures the management.

Access will be free, without health pass, in compliance with barrier gestures, as allowed by the latest government decree.

The flows in the aisles will be reorganized in order to avoid contact.

Some small novelties

Despite the context, some novelties are still to be discovered.

La Fontaine's Le Monde imaginaire, told by Gérard Depardieu, is enriched with five new fables on the occasion of the famous French poet's 400th birthday.

In terms of accommodation, the hotel La Villa Gallo-Romaine has been modernized with an even more assertive antique atmosphere.

The Puy du Fou had already distinguished itself on March 27 by opening its first theme park in Spain, in Toledo.

This Iberian version incorporates all the ingredients that have made the park successful in France with for the moment four major shows and four period villages.

A Chinese Puy du Fou is also planned by 2025.
