  • Covid-19 Side effects (mild) of vaccines: are they worse if you have passed the Covid?

    What if we mix vaccines?

The downward trend continues in our country.

Although the decreases in the indicators are very soft, they continue to decline and that is good,

especially if we want to relax certain restrictions while increasing vaccination

.

This Wednesday Health reports a cumulative incidence at 14 days (AI) of 111.91, one point and a half less than yesterday (113.45).

The seven-day incidence, a very useful parameter to quickly detect possible changes in the trend,

also falls and stands at 49.64

(slightly more than one point less than yesterday, which was already down almost three digits compared to Friday).

By communities, like the entire pandemic, there is still some variability. The worst AI is recorded by La Rioja (202.24),

the only region that exceeds 200

. They are followed by Andalusia (187.70) and the Basque Country (175.41) and further behind by Melilla (145.85).

Ten Autonomous Communities remain below 100 in their incidence

: Valencian Community continues to be the autonomy that registers a healthier incidence (39.76), followed by the Balearic Islands (41.83), Ceuta (46.32, which does not take into account in their calculations, the imported cases in the last 14 days due to the massive entry of people from Morocco), Galicia (48.12), Murcia (54.39), Extremadura (68.99), Canarias (70.08), Asturias (71.46), Cantabria (78.40) and Castilla-La Mancha (90.21).

As for infections, Health reports 4,427 new cases, a figure higher than this Tuesday (3,504) but in the downward line of last week.

There are 2,160 diagnosed the day before (highlighting the 546 in Madrid and 317 in Catalonia, the regions with the most cases diagnosed).

In total, the number of cases since the start of the pandemic in Spain is 3,715,454.

3,704 patients admitted

The number of deaths in the last 24 hours,

and although it would be desirable in this parameter to obtain a zero

, it is

only

23, a figure lower than that of previous days (73 yesterday). With death date in the last seven days Health reports 110 people (25 in Madrid and 23 in Andalusia, the communities with the most deaths). In total, since the pandemic began in Spain, 80,332 deaths have been registered.

As is logical, the decrease in infections translates into fewer patients who end up entering hospitals, so that our health system has been able to decongest, although very slowly.

At this time, 3,704 patients remain hospitalized for Covid in Spain

(940 in Madrid, 754 in Andalusia and 574 in Catalonia, the regions with the most hospitalizations).

The percentage of beds occupied by patients with coronavirus stands at 3%.

The percentage of intensive care beds (ICU) is 10.94% (11.42% yesterday).

This indicator also continues to register variability between communities

.

Thus, Madrid is touching the risk threshold of 25% (24.35%).

It is followed by the Basque Country (19.32%), Aragon (16.96%), La Rioja and Castilla y León (both with 15.09%), Catalonia (14.85%) and Castilla-La Mancha (13, 90%).

The communities with the most comfortable ICUs are Galicia (1.98%), Valencian Community (2.77%), Murcia (2.97%) and Extremadura (3.35%).

France leads the contagion

As for Europe, in the number of total infections, France leads (5,719,935), followed by Turkey (5,293,627), Russia (5,145,843), the United Kingdom (4,528,442) and Italy (4,235,592).

Below 4 million is Spain (3,715,454),

Germany (3,705,942) and already below three million Poland (2,875,729) and Ukraine (2,216,654).

Regarding AI, the Netherlands is the country with the highest incidence (205.4), followed by Sweden (192.8), Belgium (187.2) and France (165.5).

Spain is somewhere in between in Europe at the moment, slightly above 100 (111.91)

, and the countries with the

healthiest

AI are Romania (14.9), Poland (22.5) and the Czech Republic (49 ,5).

Portugal and the United Kingdom, which were the countries with the least incidence a few weeks ago, have been rising little by little.

The United Kingdom already registers 92 (in just 10 days it has almost doubled its incidence).

Carolina Darias: "This Government listens"

Carolina Darias,

Minister of Health, has confirmed the decision to vaccinate the national soccer team, following the same criteria, she explained, as for Olympic athletes.

It will be the Army, as EL MUNDO has already advanced, the one in charge of administering the doses to the soccer players.

"We will do it in the same conditions that we have done to our Olympic champions to the players of the Spanish team," he explained.

"Spain is one of the nine European countries that can already issue the certificate", Darias has advanced on the

European immunity document.

There are eight autonomous communities, the minister has reflected, that they are already issuing these certificates, so they have advanced 20 days to the term of the European Union.

Regarding the modification of the Declaration of Coordinated Actions (DAC), the minister has indicated that it has been approved today

"unanimously, except for one community -Euskadi- that has not wanted to participate",

and has valued the new document as "a review of the DAC in search of consensus, in search of agreement ".

Darias has justified that he has sought "an agreed solution, because society was asking us for this, and an image of division was not worth it."

Regarding the content of the modification, he has summarized: "The hospitality measures are not part of this document, of the DAC;

the nightlife measures become recommendations;

and the rest have not been modified".

"I believe that today is an important day, I want to recognize it this way, and

I want to recognize the effort of all the autonomous communities,"

Darias mediated.

"Consensus is not easy, but if it is sought, it has been found."

Darias has defended that "active listening" -

"this Government listens", he

insisted - has been the one that has motivated the new "consensus" in the DAC, in front of the controversy raised last week when the measures had, according to Health, mandatory character.

"The Ministry, I want to make it very clear, does not impose anything,"

said Darias, to recall the "coordination" function attributed to his department.

The previous document, Darias has justified, was based on a "recommendation" raised by the Ministry and approved by a majority, although without consensus, in the Interterritorial Council last week.

"There were some autonomous communities, which were the majority, who wanted that DAC, and others not," argued Darias, who has celebrated, in any case, that the consensus has finally been reached, which has been reached

after eliminating the binding character of the measurements

and leave them in simple recommendations.
