Never give up looking for him one day
In January 1963, 32-year-old Luo Fengkun and his 2-year-old son Luo Yajun were waiting for the train at Xuecheng Railway Station. Just as Luo Fengkun was taking a nap, Luo Yajun was taken away.
"I shouted'Runner-up, runner-up' everywhere along the train station, shouting all night and walking all night, but the child was too young at that time, he might not even know that he was called runner-up." Luo Fengkun said.
Since then, Luo Fengkun centered on Yinping Town, Yicheng District, Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province, and asked everybody, "Have you ever seen a little boy, chubby?"
Luo Fengkun’s youngest son Luo Tao said: “The only photo of the runner-up was taken when he was one year old. This photo was put in my driver’s license, and I asked where the car was driving.” Unfortunately, Around 2000, Luo Tao accidentally lost this photo.
Every year after the busy farming period, the Luo brothers and sisters will go out to work. They instinctively observe strangers in any city. They stand on the streets, on construction sites, and in restaurants, looking at the strangers' facial features.
"I want to find someone who looks like me." Luo Tao said.
For decades, the Luo brothers and sisters have been to various places in Shandong, Hainan, Shanghai, Beijing, and Xinjiang, but they have never been able to find Luo Yajun.
Because of incompleteness, this big family has never taken a family portrait.
In the second half of 2010, Luo Fengkun's wife passed away. Before she died, she told her family not to give up searching.
In 2015, Luo Fengkun came to the police station again to report the case.
"When I first arrived in Zaozhuang, I felt very kind"
Fu Guilin is 60 years old and lives in Weishan County, Jining City, Shandong Province.
"When I was 17 years old, I accidentally heard my parents whispering at home, and then I learned that I was not my own." Fu Guilin said, "My adoptive parents love me very much, and I don't want or dare to believe it is true. "
Fu Guilin never mentioned it at home.
In 2000, Fu Guilin was invited by a friend to go to Zaozhuang to have a wedding wine. "It's very strange. When I first arrived in Zaozhuang, I felt that Zaozhuang was very cordial. This feeling is very deep." He said.
Fu Guilin has 2 sons.
After having a child, he wanted to find his "root" for the first time.
"But I still didn't take action. I was afraid of hurting my adoptive parents." Fu Guilin said.
In 2017, after the death of his adoptive parents, Fu Guilin walked into the police station to collect blood for the first time, seeking police help.
What Fu Guilin didn't know was that the name on the ID card was a new name given to him by his adoptive parents, and the city of Zaozhuang, which he felt cordial many years ago, was his birthplace.
On the map, the two places are only about 50 kilometers apart.
"No regrets"
Due to difficulties such as long loss time, complex loss location, late reporting time, etc., although the public security organs comprehensively used various measures to find out, they have not obtained valuable clues for a long time.
In January this year, the Ministry of Public Security deployed public security organs across the country to carry out the "Reunion" operation to fully detect the accumulated cases of abduction and trafficking of children, to arrest suspects of abduction and trafficking, and to find missing and abducted children in an all-round way.
Cong Sixin, deputy head of the Criminal Investigation Detachment of the Public Security Bureau of Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province, said: "We took out this case again and pinned our hopes on DNA technology."
Because Luo Fengkun’s wife has died for many years and the relevant DNA data is not available, the criminal police can only conduct single parent comparisons, but after single parent comparisons, they have obtained a large amount of result data, which does not meet the conditions for research and judgment.
Cong Sixin said: "According to the laws of genetics, we used the data of Luo Fengkun's 4 children to do a reverse inference, so that the single parent comparison was turned into a parent comparison, which improved the comparison efficiency, and finally found the child who has been separated for many years." On June 1, after a review, it was determined that Luo Fengkun was Fu Guilin's biological father.
"I cried for a whole day after I got the news. I am happy. I have been looking for it for 58 years and I have no regrets now." Luo Fengkun said.
For today's meeting
The two parties agreed to meet in Jinan a week later.
For this meeting, Luo Fengkun went to the mall 3 days in advance to buy new clothes and shoes for himself and the children.
Luo Fengkun didn’t know how tall and heavy the son he had not seen in 58 years was now. He could only buy a short-sleeved top based on his feelings. As for the shoe size, he had long considered buying size 43 because he wore size 44 shoes. The son wears size 42, he thinks maybe 43 size is just right.
On the afternoon of June 8, the Ministry of Public Security deployed the four provinces of Shandong, Sichuan, Jiangsu, and Henan's public security organs to simultaneously carry out the "Reunion" campaign to recognize family members to help 11 groups of separated families reunite. The main venue of the event was located in Jinan, Shandong.
This is the first time that Fu Guilin has seen his biological father since he can remember.
