Finally, Sinead O'Connor is not ready to leave the world of music.

The Irish singer, who announced at the end of last week, to everyone's surprise, to end her career, has apparently changed her mind.

To explain her shocking announcement, the star said she was annoyed by an interview on the BBC's

Woman's Hour

show, in which she looked back on some traumas of her youth.

“I was already so bad when the BBC buggered me, without warning, without lubricant or permission, that I lost my head after

Woman's Hour

: I felt like thirty years ago […] I told myself that I would be better [and safer] if I ran away and gave up the music, ”she wrote in a statement posted on her Twitter account.

Not an Amazon

Obviously, the reactions to the announcement of her retirement (no one, in her personal or professional circle, knew about it) encouraged the singer to continue her musical career and to return to the stage, more motivated than ever.

In any case, this is what it promises.

“The most common misconception (I'm always asked this but I never answer) about 'Sinead O'Connor' is that she is an Amazon. This is not the case. I'm a five-foot-six woman with a tender heart who is actually very fragile. But I love my job, which is to make music. I don't like the fact that being a talented woman (and with her outspokenness) means that I have to walk through walls of prejudice every day to make a living. But I was born for the stage and with the amazing love and support that I have received over the past few days and will continue to receive from Rob Prinz and all ICM members, as well as many managers, buyers and fans, I feel safe to retract my statements about my decision to retire, ”she added.

All the concerts planned, so far scheduled in 2022, will normally be provided, and the star also returns to another of his statements: it is not at all outdated.

“I also lied when I said I wasn't on top anymore.

That sort of thing doesn't exist.

I just don't want to hear any more bullshit about crazy people being worthless, ”concluded the artist who has struggled with mental disorders for many years.
