An essential politician

In 1935, when she was only 6 years old, she received the Youth Oscar for her entire career, a distinction she was the first to receive and which has since disappeared.

This Oscar allowed Shirley Temple to be listed in the Guinness Book of Records.

The actress ends her career at the age of 21 but will continue to appear here and there in a few works.

At the end of the 1960s, she entered politics in the Republican Party.

After losing an election in 1967, she became a diplomat and served as US ambassador to Ghana for two years and to Czechoslovakia for three years.

In 1976, she became the first woman to be appointed chief of protocol of the State Department of the country, specifies
