A baby reindeer was born for the first time at a zoo in Suzaka City, Nagano Prefecture late last month, and its cute appearance is gaining popularity.

At Suzaka City Zoo in Suzaka City, we have been breeding reindeer for 10 years in order to make them popular.

Reindeer have a rough temper and are difficult to breed artificially. According to Suzaka City Zoo, there are very few zoos that have succeeded in breeding.

At Suzaka City Zoo, we have studied the behavior of reindeer by changing the type and amount of food given and changing the breeding place of males and females, and repeated trial and error to succeed in breeding.

And on the 21st of last month, one female baby was born for the first time.

The baby is growing well, sticking to his mother's reindeer and walking and eating hay.

The visitors were curiously looking at the little baby.

The keeper, Tetsuya Kobayashi, said, "I am very happy that the long-awaited baby was born. I want to be able to interact with customers when the new coronavirus has grown significantly and has converged."
