Recently, in the Daying River Basin of Yingjiang County, Dehong Prefecture, Yunnan Province, a couple of river terns successfully hatched the second nest of young birds, and two birds were born successfully. This river tern family hatched a total of 5 young birds this year. Birds, this is also the "second child" recorded by the local river tern for three consecutive years.

  The river tern was originally called the Yellow-billed River Tern. According to the newly adjusted "List of National Key Protected Wild Animals" in 2021, it has been promoted from the original "National Level 2 Key Protected Wild Animals" to "National Level 1 Key Protected Wild Animals". Changed its name to "River Tern".

  Every year from the end of the year to the beginning of the next year, the river tern will migrate to Dayingjiang River Basin for breeding. It migrates from Dayingjiang River Basin around July. The number in China is extremely rare. At present, it is only in Daying River, Yingjiang County, Dehong Prefecture, Yunnan Province. The river basin can be observed stably.
