20 Minutes

was able to meet with her on Monday to review her victory, her journey in the TF1 adventure game and the way in which social networks did not spare her.

When Denis Brogniart revealed the ballot with your name synonymous with your victory, what did you think of first?

I looked directly at Laure.

I said to myself “Puree, this is incredible!

It's very hard to believe that something like this could be happening to you.

It must have been a lot of emotions.

I imagined my parents like crazy watching TV, the same for my darling.

What an adventure !

Until the end it will have been incredible.

Didn't you expect it?

You hadn't tried to guess who could have voted for you for sure or not?

I hadn't necessarily done the count because I didn't want to be disappointed.

Until the end, you never really know what can happen.

So I took a lot of perspective.

I was sure of the votes of Laure, Arnaud and Jonathan, but for the rest, I was not sure.

You have repeatedly mentioned the burnout that deprived you of the Rio Olympics.

Even if it is not the same thing, does this victory in "Koh-Lanta" help to fix something in you?

Yes totally.

It allowed me to regain some confidence.

It was a personal revenge on this rather complicated career stoppage, even if the Olympics have nothing to do with

Koh-Lanta

.

I was able to turn a page to write an even more beautiful short story.

And if you went back to the first page of the “Koh-Lanta” adventure, what would you write differently?

Honestly, nothing.

I would do the same choices at the same time.

I don't want to change anything in this adventure because it was beautiful for me from start to finish.

Not even the way you were instrumental in eliminating Candice that got you a lot of public criticism?

We cannot achieve unanimity.

Our strategy has been understood by some people, not by others, that's how it is.

We know that strategies divide.

With Laure, we seized an opportunity at one point.

I have no regrets.

I would do exactly the same strategies again because it would be enough for us to change a little thing not to arrive where we arrived.

Subsequently, you have shone several times in the tests and other candidates have crystallized the public's nervousness on them.

Did you feel the trend reversing?

Yes.

We know very well that in an adventure like this, everything can change from one week to the next, we can be hated, then adored.

That's why I didn't pay too much attention to reviews.

We have to take a step back from that and tell ourselves that the public was not in our place.

It's easy to comment on your TV.

What are you going to do with the 100,000 euros you won?

I have a lot of projects.

I would like to go on vacation to Costa Rica, invest in an apartment and create my own sports programs, then continue to progress in this profession.

I still have a lot to learn.

I hope that at the Olympic Games in Paris, in 2024, I will be as close as possible to the athletes, with my microphone to interview them during this very beautiful event.

You are a sports journalist.

Did this “Koh-Lanta” adventure bring you things on a professional level?

In the way, maybe to feel what it is to be in the center of media attention and social networks?

It rather makes me laugh to find myself in this position, on the other side, and to answer a lot of interviews.

I like to speak in general, I am comfortable in this exercise.

Afterwards, my adventure may have made me realize that social networks are beautiful but, in the end, it was not a priority either, that I didn't care.

It opened my eyes to it.
