The rural community of Dealy is part of the Linguère department in the Louga region, Senegal.
In this zone, the economic activity is a little agriculture and a lot of breeding.
When equipment is not available, the processing and storage of a highly perishable foodstuff, such as milk, poses a problem for village herders.
Publicity
In Dealy, the dairy cooling center is a very important place for the pastoralists and those in the surrounding villages.
At first, it was a milk collection center for the French company Nestlé.
Then this French company gave up this activity, but the Dealy breeders continued.
Fortunately, they were selected from among the beneficiaries of the Regional Support Project for Pastoralism in the Sahel.
The lack of fodder in the dry season forces the breeders to lead the herds on transhumance.

Funded by the World Bank and implemented by the Inter-State Committee for the Fight against Drought in the Sahel (CILSS), the objective of this project is to modernize livestock farming in the area.
To modernize livestock farming a little, it is a question of introducing innovations to facilitate pastoral life, but not to introduce too many upheavals in the economies of families.
We must therefore aim right.
