The death of a Syrian young man who jumped from a rock in Raouche in Beirut

A young Syrian man died after he jumped from the 36-meter-high Raouche rock in Beirut, Lebanon, after he fell on a tourist boat that coincided with its passage from inside the Rock Tunnel at the same time as the jump, according to Sky News.

The young man died instantly and the boat driver was injured, and the deceased young man was taken to Rafic Hariri Governmental Hospital.

This incident occurred on a weekend day, when the Corniche is crowded with citizens and pioneers, especially families and children.

According to the head of the Beirut municipal council, Eng. Jamal Itnay, it is forbidden to climb up and jump from the Raouche rock without official permission in accordance with the Public Safety Law.
