Denmark, in the 1980s, by opening its doors wide to refugees, was a model in terms of migration policy.

However, the rise of populism in Europe has changed the situation and the Danish authorities have continued to tighten the reception conditions for asylum seekers.

A few months ago, the Danish Social Democrats became the first in Europe to declare that the Damascus region in Syria is now safe.

They revoked the residence permits of several dozen families.
