People who should refrain from eating radish

Dr. Mikhail Ginzburg, a Russian nutrition expert, declared that radish is rich in nutrients.

However it may be harmful to some.

In a television interview, the expert points out that radish is one of the oldest and most popular vegetables.

Radish has a special taste and is rich in micro-minerals and vitamins, in addition, it has anti-inflammatory and antitumor properties.

He says, "But this does not mean that when there is an advanced stage of cancer, it can be cured by eating radish, but in this case it will slow down the development of a cancerous tumor. Since inflammation is the basis of all age-related diseases, eating radish slows down the aging process."

He adds, regardless of the many benefits of radish, people who suffer from stomach ulcers, gastritis and other digestive diseases, should eat it with caution.

Because radish contains ether and bitter compounds, which irritate the mucous membrane of the stomach, and may worsen the health condition.

In this case, he says, "It is better to eat radish after eating, not before or during eating. It is better to eat radish when there are digestive problems with oil or milk to reduce its irritating effect."

The expert advises everyone who suffers from low stomach acid to eat radish on an empty stomach, to improve the secretion of gastric juice and the digestive process.
