The decline is still continuing in the hospital this Saturday.

According to the latest report from Public Health France, admissions to hospitalizations and resuscitations continue their slow decline that began several weeks ago.

The number of Covid victims since the start of the pandemic will soon exceed 110,000 dead.

The number of patients in the hospital continues to decline slowly, especially in the intensive care units, according to data released on Saturday by Public Health France.

In total, 14,532 Covid-19 patients are currently hospitalized against 14,801 the day before and 16,847 a week earlier, specifies the health agency.

In 24 hours, 267 new patients were admitted to hospitals in France.

Resuscitations still on the decline

The intensive care units, which treat the most serious cases, welcomed 62 new patients in 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid patients in shifts to 2,525 patients.

They were 2,571 the day before and 3,028 a week ago.

This crucial indicator fell below 3,000 on Sunday and has more than halved since its peak in late April, at the height of the third wave of the epidemic. 

In the past 24 hours, 58 patients have died in hospital bringing the total death toll to nearly 110,000 since the start of the epidemic in March 2020.
