Recently, the reporter came to the Rocky Desertification Park in Langxi Town, Yinjiang Autonomous County, Tongren City, Guizhou Province, and experienced the changes brought about by the control of rocky desertification on the spot.
The land has been severely deforested due to heavy logging, and the area of rocky desertification is 12,000 mu.
In recent years, Yinjiang County has vigorously implemented the rocky desertification ecological control project around the goal of "green barriers on the mountains, the fragrance of the fruits in the mountains, and the beautiful villages under the mountains", creating a "green miracle in Shimano".
The local area has built 5,000 mu of shelterbelts by closing hills for afforestation, returning farmland to forests, and planting trees on the top of the mountain.
In the mountainside, citrus, grapefruit, peaches, cherries, etc. were replanted, and the fruit forest reached 7000 mu.
Villagers also restored Shiwo and Shijiao into usable arable land, and the rocky desertification area has restored more than 3,000 mu of lost arable land.
The former stone hills and barren hills are now all covered in green new clothes, presenting the scene of "spring is always there all year round, and the fragrance of fruits in spring, summer, autumn and winter".
