Regarding vaccination against the new coronavirus, large-scale vaccination began on the 5th in five towns and villages, including Yoichi, Hokkaido, which is coordinating across the boundaries of local governments.

Yoichi Town, Niki Town, Furubira Town, Shakotan Town, and Akaigawa Village in Hokkaido are collaborating beyond the boundaries of local governments, such as centralizing reservations and vaccine management.

Until now, we had been promoting individual inoculations by family doctors, but from the 5th we started large-scale inoculations.

Residents who made reservations in advance visited the high school in Yoichi Town, which was the venue, one after another, divided into four sections and vaccinated, and then followed up to see if there were any serious side reactions. Was there.

According to Yoichi Town, which is in charge of reservations and vaccine management, it is possible to inoculate about 1,200 people a day at the venue, and about 11,500 people aged 65 and over in five towns and villages will be inoculated by the end of July. It is expected that the vaccination will be completed by the end of the year for about 24,900 residents.

A 73-year-old man who received the vaccination said, "I hit it about a month and a half earlier than originally planned. I think this is smoother because there are ordinary patients in private hospitals."

Hideaki Yoshida, director of Yoichi Hospital, who was in charge of the inoculation, said, "I would like to use a large-scale inoculation together so that the residents can be inoculated as soon as possible."

Large-scale inoculation of "Yoichi model" will be carried out for 7 days on Saturdays and Sundays except the 12th of this month.
