Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo, which had been temporarily closed in response to a state of emergency, has been reopened after taking measures to prevent infection, such as limiting the number of people who can enter the park, and families and others are visiting on the 5th of the weekend. ..

Shinjuku Gyoen was closed on April 25th after receiving a state of emergency, but it has resumed on April 4th.

On the 5th, which was the first weekend after the reopening, I enjoyed taking pictures of hydrangeas that were in full bloom with families and taking a walk.

As an infection prevention measure, Shinjuku Gyoen will limit the number of new visitors per hour to 2000 by the 20th of this month, and will advance the closing time from the usual 6 pm to 4:30 pm.

In addition, we encourage users to wear masks thoroughly, not to run, and to eat and drink in the park with family members living together, or with 4 or less people, and not to drink alcohol.

A man in his 70s who visited with his wife said, "I heard that the hydrangea is beautiful, so I went out for the first time in a while to take a walk. I will continue to refrain from doing so, but I want to walk so that my legs do not weaken."

In addition, a man in his thirties who visited with his children said, "I have an annual passport, so I was looking forward to reopening it. I would be happy if you could open the park here because you can avoid the crowds." ..

Yuji Tobishima, General Coordinator of the Management Office of Shinjuku Gyoen, said, "I want you to enjoy taking proper measures to prevent infection and relaxing on the lush grass."
