Iwate Prefecture has announced that an elderly person who had been hospitalized in a medical institution died after being infected with the new coronavirus.
In addition, the prefecture and Morioka City announced that nine new people have been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
In Iwate prefecture, 46 people died from the new virus, and 1490 people were confirmed to be infected.
