According to reports, since the announcement of the paper-cut exhibition in early April this year, it has received positive responses from paper-cut artists and enthusiasts from all over Hunan and even outside the province, and nearly 400 paper-cut works have been received.

Among the creators are old artists with both virtue and art, as well as young and middle-aged rising stars, as well as childish elementary and middle school students; the oldest is 89 years old, and the youngest is only 6 years old. It can be said that the three generations of old, middle and young are in the same house.

After repeated reviews by experts, 120 works were finally determined to be included in the exhibition, including 102 in the adult group, 4 in the youth group, and 14 in the children group.

These works are all newly created around the theme of "100 Years of the Founding of the Party", "Rural Revitalization" and "Better Life", fully demonstrating the unique charm of traditional Chinese paper-cutting art.

Ye Weiping, Secretary of the Party Committee, Curator, and Director of the Hunan Provincial Cultural Museum (Hunan Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center) said that the works in the exhibition use the art of paper-cutting to sing the main theme of patriotism and love the party, sing the classics of poverty alleviation, and portray the good life around them. Excellent masterpieces make the exhibition a beautiful landscape to show the people's beautiful and happy life, and an excellent answer sheet to show the heritage and protection of Chinese folk paper-cut art.

It is reported that this exhibition is divided into two forms: offline and online. The first offline exhibition is the Hunan Provincial Cultural Center, and there will be touring exhibitions throughout Hunan thereafter.
