On June 4, the premiere of the Little Big video for the song Everybody (a cover version of the hit of the American boy band Backstreet Boys) took place.

The video was presented live on YouTube.

In addition to Russians, viewers from Lithuania, Germany, Spain, Turkey and other countries joined the broadcast.

The video sequence contains many references to the original video, released in 1997.

Then the clip makers tried to stage a parody of a horror movie.

The new video features a less dark style.

Its action also takes place in the castle, however, instead of monsters, fairy-tale characters appear in the frame: Cinderella, Snow White, The Little Mermaid, gnomes and others.

There are also explicit borrowings from the original source in the video - for example, Anton Lissov, like Howard Dwayne Dorough, tried on the image of Dracula.

In both clips, you can see choreographic numbers with the participation of extras.

As part of their corporate identity, Little Big diversified the video with references to current trends from different spheres of life: from abuse of plastic transactions to cryptocurrency mining.

In addition, the clip contains references to memes and viral videos popular on social networks.

Many YouTube users liked the clip, but longtime fans of the band regret the change in their creative guidelines.

"This is cool, but the past style of Little Big is irretrievably lost," - wrote one of the users of the platform.

“In general, I did not evoke any emotions, did not smile, did not disappoint.

Just a gray square of some kind.

Eh, where are those hits - Faradenza, LollyBobmb, AK47, etc. ", - said another viewer.

Nevertheless, part of the audience spoke out in support of innovations in the group's repertoire.

“As for me, this is the most adequate clip for the last year from Little Big.

Eyes and ears are happy, and the previous ones were hard to watch, and it hurts your ears, ”commentators on YouTube admit.

"Cool!

Have fun, cover fire!

Gnomes with a coffin are generally superb! "

- another spectator commented on the clip.

The song was featured on the mini-album Covers, which also premiered on June 4.

The disc consists of five covers of hits in different languages.

In English, along with Everybody, the artists sang songs Barbie Girl by Aqua and Blitzkrieg Bop by punk rockers Ramones.

The album also includes a new version of the Italian hit Ricchi e Poveri Mamma Maria, which Little Big performed for the first time on Ivan Urgant's New Year show “CIAO, 2020!”, And the song by Nadezhda Kadysheva “The Witch”.

All compositions are recorded in a dance style with the addition of elements characteristic of the group's creativity.

The album cover is a parody of the 1991 disc by Nirvana's Nevermind.

The famous photo shows a baby swimming for a dollar bill.

In the interpretation of Little Big, the child was replaced by backing vocalist and guitarist of the group Anton Lissov, and the denomination of the bill is $ 100.

The album drew a mixed reaction from Little Big fans.

Some speak positively about the new songs, others are surprised by the selection of compositions - the most unexpected for the audience was the dance version of "The Witch".

"The Witch" is very cool.

Only you can combine the incompatible, ”writes an Instagram user.

Some commented that the artists should have covered some Nirvana song since they copied the band's cover.

At the same time, most Little Big fans are unhappy with the fact that the artists continue to work in the pop genre, while many have fallen in love with other music.

In addition, in May, the musicians released the song We Are Little Big in a familiar style, which for many meant the band's return to its roots.

“What is this emotional swing for?

We started normally with We Are LB, ”says one of the group's followers on Instagram.

“Where is the trash, where have you disappeared?

Why is this something?

Let's go, of course, are you completely over? "

- writes another blogger.

Many suggested that the change in direction was influenced by the participation of the team in the selection for Eurovision in 2020.

Then they presented the hit song Uno.

The composition allowed them to expand their fan base both in Russia and abroad.

Now, according to Little Big subscribers on Instagram, the musicians have simply run out of fantasy.

One subscriber, however, stressed that the artists are forced to focus on their relatively new listeners - hence their interest in pop music.

In addition, the blogger recalled that earlier Little Big announced a new album, which is scheduled for release in the fall of 2021.

It is possible that it will meet the expectations of fans of the traditional creativity of the group.

“They cannot please only old fans all the time, and so they said in Russian that the old-style rave album will be closer to November,” the user writes.

After the cancellation of Eurovision, the Little Big members continued to release new tracks.

The most successful of them was Hypnodancer: the video has received over 200 million views on YouTube.

Later came Tacos, Sex Machine, as well as a New Year's video - "a hate anthem for 2020" with an obscene title.

On May 12, the premiere of the new video We are Little Big, in which the musicians perform at a rave, took place. In the comments to the video, many fans were happy that the band had returned to their old style. “Just a tough comeback. I thought the band was starting to lose ground, judging by the latest tracks, but now I'm pleasantly surprised, ”wrote one of the viewers. “It's very cool, as if you had a two-year contract with Kirkorov and finally ended,” said another user.
