At the meeting, Chang Juping, deputy director of the Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission, reported that the 12 positive cases reported so far were all discovered through daily surveillance and active screening from May 20 to 29. Case 1 was a high-risk occupational group at the port. It was found during screening; Cases 2 to 6 were found in the close contacts of Case 1; Cases 7 to 11 were found in key populations already managed; Case 12 was in the nucleic acid test of all residents in Yantian District Found; Case 13 is a close contact of Case 12.
Chang Juping said that the current epidemic is limited to Shenzhen Yantian Port and its adjacent areas, and no new cases have been found in other areas. The epidemic is generally controllable and the risk of large-scale spread is low.
