Ibaraki Prefecture and Mito City announced on the 30th that they have confirmed that 28 new people have been infected with the new coronavirus.
A total of 9718 people have been confirmed to be infected in the prefecture.
The prefecture also announced that six of the confirmed infections by the 30th were newly found to have been infected with the mutated coronavirus, bringing the total to 730.
