They develop a system that detects the coronavirus from a photo of the eyes

Detecting the

coronavirus

from a photo of the eyes and only in three seconds is possible with OcuTech technology, a test based on artificial intelligence that could be positioned as a support tool in sectors such as leisure, hospitality, tourism, the sport or culture.

The official presentation of the first

Covid

detection test

in real conditions carried out in Europe with this technology, developed by the technological company Innoarea Projects, will be held next Saturday in a gastronomic space in Valencia, according to its creators in a statement.

The

OcuTech

firm

has been selected by Lanzadera, the business accelerator promoted by

Juan Roig

, to work on the development and implementation of this

screening tool

based on artificial intelligence.

First, the temperature of the attendees will be taken using an infrared thermometer, and then the attendees must position themselves in front of the person wearing the glasses. Automatically, the glasses will select

only the eye region

and upload said image to the cloud, where it will be analyzed by the artificial intelligence algorithm.

After the analysis, the image of the eyes will be destroyed, so that at no time is any data or information about the attendees stored.
