“Taking into account the emerging hydrological situation and the forecast of an increase in the level of rivers, the main department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Irkutsk region, as well as fire and rescue garrisons have been put on high alert,” Interfax quotes the message of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia.

11 employees of a specialized fire and rescue unit with immersion suits and life jackets will be delivered to the village of Arshan in Tulunsky district to help the population with a possible rise of the Oya River.

Also, another 46 rescuers will arrive in the city of Tulun.

"The groups are armed with unmanned aerial vehicles for monitoring the flood situation," the ministry said.

Also, the Mi-8 helicopter EMERCOM of Russia monitors the upper reaches of the Iya, Uda and Biryusa rivers.

Earlier it was reported that the flood in the Krasnoyarsk Territory disrupted communication with 14 settlements.
