  It is reported that on April 16, 17 Asian elephant herds that originally lived in Xishuangbanna National Nature Reserve migrated from Mojiang County of Pu'er City to Yuanjiang County of Yuxi City.

On April 24, 2 of them returned to Mojiang County, Pu'er City, and the remaining 15 elephants continued to migrate north.

The elephants passed through Yuanjiang County, Yuxi City, Baoxiu Town, Shiping County, Honghe Prefecture, and Daweidu Village, Eshan County, Yuxi City. They entered Shuangjiang Street, Eshan County on May 26, and passed through Eshan County to reach the north of the county on the 27th. Kilometers away.
