At 14:23 on May 28, a construction site collapsed in a community on Xinbei Road, Yingshan County, Nanchong City, Sichuan. Two workers were injured in an emergency.
After receiving the call for help, firefighters from the local fire station rushed to the scene immediately.
At the scene of the incident, two workers sat paralyzed at the collapse site about 2 meters deep. One of them was seriously injured but more conscious.
According to preliminary information, the collapse occurred in an old community. A new septic tank was under construction on the site. When two workers dug halfway through, the soil suddenly collapsed and was buried.
The surrounding people rescued and cleaned up the mud in time.
According to the situation at the scene, the firefighters went down to the pit and put the two injured people on the ground. The 120 emergency medical staff who arrived in time quickly rushed the injured to Yingshan County People's Hospital for treatment.
Currently, the local authorities are investigating the cause of the collapse.
