The latest archaeological results of the Sanxingdui site were released at the event: the bronze top figure in the sacrificial pit No. 3 was unveiled.

  [Simultaneous] (Live sound) After more than three months of excavation, the bronze top figure in the sacrificial pit of Sanxingdui No. 3 finally revealed its dignity under a large amount of ivory.

The top figure with a total height of 1.15 meters is located on the south side of the sacrificial pit. The bronze figure has a peculiar kneeling posture, embroidered short skirt, folded hands with cross fingers, head with big eyes and grin, with an exaggerated expression and a reverent demeanor.

The bronze statue with dragon-shaped ornaments on the head of the portrait is the first time this large bronze artwork that combines the human and the statue has been discovered in China and the world.

The bronze statue was an important sacrificial ritual in the Shang Dynasty of China, as well as an important tool for storing wine. It is an expression of the meaning of "respect", "respect", "respect" and "noble" in Chinese culture.

The kneeling top-zun portrait combines the shape of Sanxingdui's unique portrait and the zun shape, highlighting the close connection between Sanxingdui and the Shang Dynasty of the Central Plains, depicting the pious and sacred sacrificial scene of Sanxingdui, and showing the unique world of faith in Sanxingdui. The latest progress of the excavation of the 6 sacrificial pits at the Sanxingdui site was announced at the promotion meeting.

  Up to now, 534 important cultural relics such as ivory, bronze, gold, jade and nearly 2,000 fragments of broken cultural relics have been unearthed from six sacrificial pits in Sanxingdui.

  In an interview with reporters, Ran Honglin, director of the Sanxingdui Institute of Archaeology of the Sichuan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, said that after preliminary statistics, a total of 211 ivory were unearthed from the sacrificial pit of the Sanxingdui site.

  Of course, this includes Pit No. 1 and Pit No. 2 in 1986. There are about less than 100 ivory in Pit No. 1 and Pit 2. So this time there are more than 100 tusks.

Judging from the current situation, the ivory from the 6 newly discovered pits is basically the same as the ivory from No. 1 (pit) and No. 2 (pit) excavated in 1986, at least No. 3, No. 4 and No. 8 The ivory of Pit No. 1 is the same as Pit No. 2 ivory, which is basically a whole canine tooth.
