The reporter Louise Fischer must have received the green light from her managers to participate in the sex acts even before the visit to the club Swingland in Ishøj, with the proviso that it must be Fischer's own decision.

The result was a radio report where you could clearly hear how the reporter had sex with one of the swingers' club members and asked questions in the meantime.

Not adorned

Radio4's news and current affairs director Tina Kragelund thinks it was a unique insight into an environment that few get to experience up close.

- We are neither adorned nor have a fear of touching something as universal as sex, Kragelund says to Kulturnyheterna.

- As journalists, we participate in many other things in our reports, and the reason is the same here.

We are getting closer to an environment than we would have been if we had seen it from the outside.

The reactions to the report have largely been positive, at the same time as it has started a heated debate about how liberated the Danes really are, according to Kragelund.

According to her, Fischer has been through a "media storm" in recent days.

"Supports her"

Is there a risk that you violate the reporter's integrity when you let her do this, even if she herself is involved?

- She is an adult woman and is fully aware of what she is doing and what consequences it can have.

But it can be difficult to predict how it will affect you in the future that you have had sex in front of the whole country, is not that something you as a manager should take responsibility for?

- Louise makes a well-thought-out decision on the spot, which does not exceed the rules of press ethics, we have full confidence in that and we support her 100 percent in her decision, says Tina Kragelund.

Radio4 is a privately owned voice radio channel that was started in 2019 by nine different media houses, including Bornhols tidende, Flensburg newspaper and Jysk-fynske media.
