Don't tell him he looks like Harry Potter, he wouldn't believe it.

However, it is by playing on his similarity with Daniel Radcliffe that Félix Lalo has managed to exceed one million subscribers on TikTok.

And this in just a month and a half.

“I wasn't expecting it at all because six months ago, when I was told that I looked like Harry Potter, it annoyed me,” he tells

Due to his resemblance to the world's most famous wizard, the 25-year-old has managed to quickly reach out to the loyal fan base of the novels and films around the world.

TikTok, musical springboard

Until recently, Félix lived in London where he followed a university course in the field of music. Performing in front of hundreds of people, handling the pressure in the studio, and learning the ropes are some of the skills he has learned over time. For three years, he has been at the head of his own production company, Félix Lalo Prod. With this string to his bow, the musician intends to embark on advertising, compose music for films or documentaries.

Guitarist since the age of nine, the man who also describes himself as "composer, lyricist and singer" wondered before posting his first video on TikTok at the beginning of last February.

“I didn't want to associate my music with the guy who makes Harry Potter-focused videos,” he admits.

But at the same time, I told myself that it could be funny and I had nothing else to do because clearly, the music was not progressing ”because of the health crisis.

Obviously, Felix made the right choice since the popularity of his TikTok account is even felt on Instagram.

“When I started TikTok, I had 300 followers on my Instagram.

We are at 20,000 now, ”he says, before adding that he intends to take advantage of this light to promote his music.

Autographs signed en masse

Before the magic happened, Felix had to invest in some disguises to transform into Harry Potter. A white shirt, a Gryffindor tie, a pair of round glasses and voila. It didn't take much more for a lot of people to mistake him for Daniel Radcliffe, either online or in real life. “When I did the wick on the side, it took three minutes. I left the hairdresser and three minutes later, there was a little girl who asked me for an autograph. I signed Félix Lalo, ”he laughs.

In bars, restaurants, at the cinema, it was impossible for Félix to afford a quiet evening without being caught by passers-by asking for selfies and imitations.

Despite these regular requests, getting started on TikTok has not been easy for the one who now has a million and a half followers.

“Not finding that the resemblance was major, it was hard to start,” he says.

It took me three videos to be really comfortable.

"

If the possibility were offered to him, Felix could try to become a full-time influencer "but not in Dubai", he quips while some brands are already contacting him for product placements.

While waiting to see this opportunity materialize, the French Harry Potter would dream of having a magic wand to sing live as quickly as possible.
