“Over the past day, on May 27, 51 forest fires have been liquidated in Russia on an area of 559 hectares,” RIA Novosti is quoted as saying.
It is noted that by midnight on May 28, 32 forest fires were operating in Russia on an area of 4524 hectares.
The maximum area of fires was recorded in the Tyumen region, where there were 14 fires on an area of 3148 hectares.
Earlier, the governor of the Tyumen region, Alexander Moor, said that 90% of wildfires were extinguished in the region.
