Ibaraki Prefecture and Mito City announced on the 28th that they have confirmed that 47 new people have been infected with the new coronavirus.
In the prefecture, a total of 9640 people have been confirmed to be infected.
In addition, the prefecture announced that 31 of the confirmed infections by the 28th were newly infected with the mutated coronavirus, bringing the total to 713.
