Today, the Indonesian police announced that 5 people from one family drowned after the collapse of a floating bridge, where they gathered to take a selfie.
The agency "Agence France Presse", according to local police chief Junaidi Nur, that the family members, who are 14, were trying to take a picture on the bridge on the banks of Lake Kandy.
Noor explained that the site is considered a tourist area in the west of Sumatra island, but it is not under surveillance.
Among the five victims of the accident was a 17-year-old man, while the rest of the family survived.
The police official said that rescuers were able to retrieve the bodies and open an investigation into the accident.
A similar incident occurred earlier this May, in a lake on the Indonesian island of Java.
