On May 27th, the highest peak in Sichuan's Emei Mountain Scenic Area-Wanfoding, at an altitude of 3,099 meters, was reopened to the public. This is a return after 15 years of absence.
Wanfoding is 20 meters higher than Emei Golden Summit, with an altitude of 3,099 meters. The scenic area has lush vegetation, towering ancient trees, wild vines surrounding trees, and numerous birds and animals. The original landscape is well preserved.
It is understood that the Wanfoding area is a high-altitude area with a long walking tour itinerary. To ensure the safety of tourists, it is temporarily closed to people aged 60 and above.
