Nima Tsering is the district chief of the second industrial zone. The area is responsible for the maintenance of about 40 kilometers. This highway is the only way through Langkazi County and Luozha County in Shannan City.

The Yamdrok Lake in Langkazi County is called the "Biyu Lake". Every year, it attracts tens of thousands of tourists to watch the "check-in". Watching the vehicles running smoothly on this landscape avenue, few people notice it. It is the result of perennial maintenance by more than ten workers in the work area.

In a blink of an eye, Nima Tsering has been maintaining roads in this place for 32 years.

He recalled that in the early 1990s, the dirt road maintained at that time was only about 10 kilometers away. Apart from the slow-moving tractor, their work "partner" was left with one or two mules and horses to help level the road.

Not to mention that in the rainy season, the landslide caused the road surface to be damaged. Workers often have to rush through the road for days and nights.

"In 2002, construction began on this road." The dirt road was about to become oil road. The good news made Nima Tsering so happy that he couldn't sleep, so he told everyone about the good news.

In 2004, the highway was officially opened to traffic. He looked at the flat and clean asphalt road in front of him, and his eyes suddenly became hot and humid. At the same time, he told himself in his heart: We must protect the safety and smooth flow of this road just like protecting our children.

In the second year, he submitted an application for joining the Party to the Party Branch of the Danang Maintenance Section in Shannan City. He wanted to use the identity and mission of a party member to better complete the road maintenance work. He assured the organization: I will do my duty and All the hard work and sweat are devoted to road maintenance and management, one step at a time, diligent and hardworking.

Whenever natural disasters such as mudslides, landslides and falling rocks cause the road to be interrupted, Nima Tsering always takes the workers to the scene as soon as possible to rush to the scene whenever and wherever possible.

One night in the summer of 2018, the rain continued. Nima Tsering, who was already lying down, received news of a mudslide on the road. A car was trapped in it, waiting for rescue.

He immediately put on his raincoat and drove the mechanical vehicle with the workers to the scene to rescue him.

"The muddy water kept flowing down the mountain. We just cleaned it up, and the ground was immediately filled with muddy water." Suolangongjie, who participated in the rush through, recalled that in order to ensure the safety of the people on the car, Nima Tsering organized everyone to use a mechanical car The vehicles trapped in the muddy water were carefully towed out, and then the road was cleared and cleared.

That day, more than a dozen workers stayed up all night.

The sky is getting bright, the rain stops, and the road is smooth.

The Chang Cidan Zhuoma of the Zanang Maintenance Section in Shannan City told Chinanews.com that there are 13 work areas in the maintenance section with a maintenance mileage of 1,222.22 kilometers.

Among them, there is a Puma Jiangtang Township located at an altitude of more than 5,000 meters, which is the highest work area in China.

Although the working environment is difficult, no one slackens and complains in the workplace.

Many of the young front-line maintenance workers are "second generations of roads". They grow up on the roads, are called "children of the roads", and have a special affection for the roads.

"They are now at a time of youth and vigor, but they have been in the wind and sun for a long time, and they all have weather-beaten faces." Cidan Dolma said that they inherited the "old Tibetan spirit" and "old Tibetan spirit" of their ancestors. The spirit of "Two Ways" does not fear and retreat in the harsh natural environment, but fights against it with tenacity and perseverance. In this snowy land, the "lifelines" are maintained with love.
