• Restaurants and hotels will have to reinforce their workforce this summer.

  • But after more than a year of uncertainty, seasonal workers may be missing out.

The cafes, hotels and restaurants are gradually getting back into working order.

After 2020 and a catastrophic start to 2021, the time has come for the gradual reopening.

From June 30, there will in fact no longer be any gauge limit inside restaurants.

But to be able to ensure the recovery, we need people: like every summer, the hotel and restaurant sector will need 300,000 seasonal workers.

However, recruitment, already complicated in recent years, could prove to be even more difficult this season. Some regular seasonal workers, tired of the uncertainty and the economic fragility of the sector, could look elsewhere. Others were also able to take advantage of the confinement to redefine their priorities and change branches. To avoid bleeding, a platform called "HCR restoration" has just been created, in order to attract candidates.

If you used to be seasonal in the hotel and catering industry (waiter, diver, etc.) but you will not be working this summer, your opinion matters to us.

Why did you choose not to do the coming season?

Have you decided to look to another sector?

What makes you no longer attracted to the hotel and catering industry?
