At 7:49 on April 14, 2010, a strong earthquake of magnitude 7.1 occurred in Yushu. Ren Zengjie, who went to school, saw the scene of grandma being rescued from the ruins by fire fighters wearing orange rescue suits. At the same time, they finally got through. After Yushu sent the phone number from his family, he was a little grateful.
But what came from the other end of the phone was the news that six relatives, including grandpa and sister-in-law, had died in the earthquake.
