China News Service, May 26. Recently, the 30th Plum Blossom Award for Chinese Drama was announced in Nanjing.

A total of 15 award-winning actors were selected through a rigorous evaluation process including the preliminary evaluation and final evaluation by the Chinese Dramatists Association.

  In addition to traditional opera actors on the list, Tu Songyan, a national first-class actor and famous film and television actor, also won the "Plum Blossom Award" with the original drama "Human Fireworks" from the National Theater of China, becoming the only drama actor to win the award.

  As the highest award for Chinese drama performance, the Plum Blossom Award was established in 1983. It is the first art award in China whose purpose is to commend and reward outstanding young and middle-aged drama performance talents and to prosper and develop the drama industry.

  "Fireworks in the World" is produced by the National Theater of China, directed by Lou Linming, written by Lin Weiran, and starring Tu Songyan.

It premiered in the National Theatre of China on July 20, 2019, and then carried out many national tours successively, which won unanimous praise from the audience.

  The play tells the story of the grassroots party member Su Xiaoyu, played by Tu Songyan, who took the initiative to ask Ying to be transferred from the district to the grassroots to preside over the work of shed reform, and solve practical problems for the people with sincere emotion and wisdom.

  Talking about the feelings of the Plum Blossom Award, Tu Songyan said bluntly: "I admire the Plum Blossom Award very much in my heart. It is an encouragement and affirmation to receive this award in subsequent performances."

  Tu Songyan has won many awards such as the 7th China Excellent TV Actor Outstanding Actor and the National Top Ten TV Actors.
