      i need your help.

Some time ago you identified yourself as a passionate fan of the "Friends" series.

Now, after a 17-year phase of waiting and speculating, which Corona has extended for another year, a kind of comeback of the six New Yorkers is imminent on May 27th.

Now my own heart is not beating as hot as yours for the clique - which was never such a TV hit in Germany as it was in the USA - but I'm already thinking: should I do the flat share reunion?

Or does such a trip into the past not almost automatically end in disappointment?

      Dear colleague,

I actually can't tell you how often I've watched “Friends” - let's leave it at “often”. Since I saw the series for the first time when I was in my early 20s in my mostly empty flat share during a semester abroad, it feels a bit like I've made six additional friends who are there for me on bad days at least on the screen. My reaction to the reunion announcement can be summed up as follows: “Oh. My. God! ”- and one of the enthusiastic ones! Because yes, new editions (rightly) do not have a good reputation. Netflix brought this back to our eyes only a few years ago with the new season of "Gilmore Girls". For the "Friends" reunion, however, you have to know: The story of Monica, Ross and Co. is actually not being passed on here, rather, the actors meet as themselves. That means: no disappointment with the plot, because the story for the characters did not go on as they secretly wished. Six friends actually meet here - I think you can call the actors that after ten seasons - and indulge in memories together. Actually just like you would with your "real" friends, right?as you would with your "real" friends, right?as you would with your "real" friends, right?

      Dear colleague,

ah, I see, “Oh. My. God! ”- a little nod to Chandler's hysterical girlfriend Janice, huh? Nicely played. So, I have to admit, my interest in how the six actors have fared since the end of the series in 2004 is limited, at least in the version as HBO is likely to present it. If you take economic success as a basis, Jennifer Aniston is clearly the leader of the pack, although there are many upscale average goods among her leading roles. Courteney Cox's filmography is much shorter. David Schwimmer has apparently found a regular living as an actor and director; Matthew Perry struggles quite publicly with alcohol and drug addiction after an accident. The trailers promoting the eventIn any case, point to a mixture of coffee parties with show interludes and tear suppressors. They already make me shudder, and not in a good way.

      Dear colleague,
