A rare vending machine where you can buy disposable diapers for children has been installed at the roadside station in Tawaramoto Town, Nara Prefecture.

This vending machine was installed by a major beverage maker and Tawaramoto Town Road Station so that people raising children will not have any trouble even if they run out of diapers when going out.

At vending machines that sell drinks such as tea and coffee, you can buy two different sizes of disposable diapers and a sheet for wiping.

This major beverage maker has installed about 22,000 vending machines in Kansai, but this is the first time that this type has been installed in Nara Prefecture.

A local woman in her thirties who visited the roadside station said, "I think it's convenient to buy in small lots when you need it suddenly on the go."

Hiroyuki Matsunami, General Manager of the Osaka District of Kansai Kirin Beverage Service, said, "We have set up a product other than beverages to contribute to the community. We hope it will be useful for the child-rearing generation."

Nobuyuki Kawai, the stationmaster of the roadside station "Resti Karako / Kagi", said, "I want you to feel free to use it not only for drivers outside the prefecture, but also when you forget your luggage after a short trip."
