INTERVIEW

What does JoeyStarr's kitchen look like?

You may never have asked yourself the question, but chef Mory Sacko answers it on Saturday night on his

Open Kitchen

show

, where he invited the NTM rapper to cook with him.

And the candidate for

Top Chef

, Michelin-starred cook and presenter on France 3 was surprised by the skills of his guest, as he explained on Tuesday at the microphone of Anne Roumanoff and his band, in the show

"Everything is rum with him"

"I was surprised because JoeyStarr cooks really well! He even had little cooking reflexes, it is immediately obvious that the guy cooks a lot at home", the starred chef is surprised, before adding on the tone of the joke: "It's all rum with him!"

Mory Sacko's surprise is not so much with JoeyStarr's personality as with the difficulty in finding guests who can cook with him.

"It's much harder to find guests who know how to cook than to find beautiful landscapes in which to set the scene", the chef smiles.

"Hand a microphone to regional chefs"

In his show, Mory Sacko indeed travels in each region of France, where he meets the actors of the local gastronomy.

"I especially wanted to give a microphone to these producers, to these regional chefs, and to make them talk about their products and their region", explains the chef.

"I listen, and then I make my recipe with everything I learned during our discussion."

This operation was very important for the presenter of

Open Kitchen

.

"The best way to discover a culture, a population in the world, or precisely a French region, is still to sit at the table and eat together," he believes.

Its

Open Kitchen program

is broadcast every Saturday at 8:25 p.m. on France 3.
