Lindsay Lohan, who broke through as a child star in Föräldrafällan in 1998 and then played an acclaimed role in the cult film Mean girls, has had a turbulent life fraught with paparazzi and previous substance abuse problems.

The last time she shot a feature film was in 2015 when she was part of the ensemble for the thriller Among the shadows (premiere 2019).

In recent years, she has instead opened a hotel in Greece, participated in the TV show Masked Singer in Australia and had her own reality soap on MTV.

But now it's time for acting again.

Variety writes that Lohan is ready for a Christmas romcom for Netflix, which is expected to premiere at Christmas 2022. In the film, which does not yet have a title, she will play a hotel heir who has a ski accident and loses his memory.

After the crash, she wakes up with a nice cottage owner and his little old daughter who takes care of her during the days until Christmas Eve,
