As the infection of the new coronavirus spreads, restaurants are being requested to shorten the time, and stores in Kumamoto City are gathering to sell food in a drive-through format.

This started last week by renting a parking lot at a sports facility in the city, with 10 restaurants in Kumamoto calling it a "drive-through kitchen" in an effort to work together to secure sales as time-saving requests continue.

In the parking lot, each store set up a temporary tent, and visitors ordered food while in the car.

This is the third time since April last year, following January, and the last time we had sales of about 2000 meals a day.

A man in his 40s in the city who visited said, "I used it because I wanted to support it. I'm looking forward to eating it after a long time."

Mr. Seijiro Kawamura, chairman of the executive committee, said, "It is a means to maintain employment and cover rent while support is limited. I would like you to come because you can enjoy many tastes at once." I did.

This "drive-through kitchen" is open from 11:30 am to 8:00 pm until June 13.
