Italian singer Damiano David of Eurovision winner Måneskin has been tested negative for drug use.

The EBU, which organized the Eurovision Song Contest, announced this on Monday.

The singer of the Italian rock group seemed to be sniffing coke in the so-called 'green room'.

He leaned forward to the table and, according to some viewers, snorted.

The video was widely shared on social media.

The singer himself denied: a glass would have been broken at the table of Italy and the singer would have cleared this glass.

EBU had already established that a broken glass had indeed been found.

The organization says it is alarmed by the fake news of David's alleged drug use.

According to the EBU, this has unfairly overshadowed the Italians' victory.

Now that the drug test turns out to be negative, the case is closed for the organization.

The band Måneskin won the song festival on Saturday with their song Zitti E Buoni.

The EBU once again congratulates Italy and says it is looking forward to the next edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in Italy.
