Recently, a golden-spotted swallowtail butterfly appeared in the Damingshan National Nature Reserve in Guangxi. It is the only live female golden-spotted swallowtail that has been monitored so far.

It is understood that the golden-beaked swallowtail butterfly is known as "the proud son of butterflies", is the first of the eight rare butterflies in the world, and is known as the "living fossil of the world".

The golden-spotted swallowtail butterfly is a subtropical and tropical alpine species. It is difficult to find and capture due to factors such as rarely go to the ground for activities, live for two generations a year, short adult activity time, and mating and reproduction that are greatly affected by the climate. It was extremely difficult.

On January 4 this year, the "National Key Protected Wildlife List" listed it as the only national first-level protected animal among butterflies in my country.

Nowadays, the discovery of live female Golden-beaked Papilio in such a low-altitude area will also provide scientific basis for better research and mastering of the living habits and activity patterns of Golden-beaked Papilio.
