According to the police, at least two people were shot dead and twelve others injured at a party in the US state of New Jersey.

The state police announced on Facebook on Sunday that the officers were alerted around midnight.

When they arrived at the apartment building in Fairfield, Cumberland, they discovered a 25-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man who had died from gunshot wounds.

The injured were taken to hospitals.

At first the background remained unclear.

The police only said there had been no arrests.

Investigations into the motive and the act continued.

In an incident involving firearms in a bar in Youngstown, Ohio, three people were killed and eight others were injured on Sunday night, according to CNN, citing the police.

In this case, too, the motive and background of the crime were initially unknown.

The broadcaster WCSC reported, citing the police, that a fourteen-year-old was shot at a concert in North Charleston, South Carolina, and 13 other people were injured.

A dispute had previously broken out at the concert that was not registered.
