[Commentary] On May 18th, "The Traces of Optoelectronics-Handwritings of Information Technology Pioneers" was held at Tsinghua University. More than 40 precious handwritten books, letters, notes, etc. of representative figures in the field of optoelectronics were exhibited. Tribute to the pioneers.

[Explanation] Since the British physicist Faraday first discovered the phenomenon of "electromagnetic induction" in 1831, in 190 years, American inventor Edison, American information theory founder Shannon, German digital computer father Clander Zuse, American mobile Martin Cooper, the father of the telephone, Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft in the United States, and others have opened one door after another for mankind to enter the information world.

Because we are now in an information age, there is no doubt that every day we take out our mobile phones as reminders of WeChat, some new emails, I wonder how the information age is caused?

It is impossible for us to bypass some creative and executive characters.

[Explanation] The exhibition divides the development of the field of optoelectronics in modern times into two parts through the time axis. The first part is from the "Father of Telegraph" Morse in the United States to the Lumiere brothers in France, and the second part is the Shannon era. In the handwriting of relevant characters, there are trivial matters in life, business activities, and thinking about future development.

Some scientists have special humanistic care. For example, Bellan wrote a passage called "What was impossible yesterday may be possible tomorrow. But will this make people's lives happier?" He said he was worried. This matter, so you look like our current information seems to be very convenient, but the information leakage, including the new era of artificial intelligence, is there any greater danger waiting for us, this needs us to consider.

So this is also something that this exhibition wants everyone to take away, that is, something to think back and forth.

[Explanation] The day of the event coincided with the International Museum Day, and the exhibition attracted many visitors and professionals to visit.

It is equivalent to taking out some of the handwritings of celebrities related to photoelectric technology, and then linking it up with the idea of scientific development history, and performing artistic interpretation, turning it into a fusion of knowledge and artistry. , Humanity in one such a scientific exhibition.

In fact, letting children, including citizens, should know how technology came about, who the founders are, and what is the context of their development. This is very helpful for everyone to learn and recognize the future direction.

[Explanation] It is understood that "The Traces of Optoelectronics-Handwritings of Information Technology Pioneers" is hosted by the Science Museum of Tsinghua University (under preparation) and will be exhibited until the end of August. Also on display at the same time is "Awesome Herbs-Chinese and Western Medical Plant "Image Exhibition" and other exhibitions.
