According to the official Weibo news of Shanghai No. 2 Intermediate People’s Court, on May 19, Shanghai No. 2 Intermediate People’s Court conducted a closed court hearing on the child molestation appeal case of the defendants Wang Zhenhua and Zhou Yanfen in accordance with the law. The court pronounced its verdict and ruled to reject the appeal and uphold the original verdict.

On June 16, 2020, the Shanghai Putuo District Court will not open a hearing in accordance with the law to hear the child molestation case of the defendants Wang Zhenhua and Zhou Yanfen.
On June 17, the Putuo District Court sentenced the defendants Wang Zhenhua and Zhou Yanfen in court and sentenced the defendants Wang Zhenhua to five years’ imprisonment and the defendant Zhou Yanfen to four years’ imprisonment for child molestation.
