On May 19, the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences announced that Xu Guanghui’s research team discovered a new large ancient fish fossil in Luoping, Yunnan. The latest study believes that the fossil is a finned fish wing. Cod is a new species, and it is also the largest known predator of skeleton finfish in the Luoping biota 244 million years ago.
