A new royal baby is about to arrive.

Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, are expecting their first child.

According to Buckingham Palace, the baby, who will be Queen Elizabeth II's 12th great-grandchild, is due in the fall, with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's second child (who will therefore be the 11th) due to be born next summer.

“Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very happy to announce that they are expecting a baby this fall.

The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news, ”read a message posted on the official The Royal Family Twitter account.

Princess Beatrice had already become aunt at the start of the year when her sister Eugenie gave birth to her first child, with businessman Jack Brooksbank.

Married after years

Princess Beatrice, 32, and her husband got engaged in 2019, after a years-long friendship.

After canceling their marriage because of the Covid-19 pandemic, they were married discreetly last July.

At the time of the announcement of their engagement, the couple said: “We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement.

We are both very happy to embark on this adventure together and we can't wait to get married.

We share so many similar values and interests that we know it will help us through the years to come, full of love and happiness ”.

Their baby will therefore be the second grandchild for Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.

Good news, while the family is still in turmoil: the son of Queen Elizabeth II retired from public office in 2019, after his links with the businessman accused of pedophilia Jeffrey Epstein were revealed.
