"One of the Gagnamagnið members tested positive this morning.

This probably means that we will not be able to participate in the rehearsals today or the live show tomorrow ", writes Daði Freyr.

No official statement from Eurovision has been made yet.

The most likely scenario is that recordings from the group's second ropes during Eurovision will be used instead.

The delegation in shock

The Icelandic delegation's press spokesperson Rúnar Freyr writes to SVT:

"We are still waiting for information from the EBU.

But I can say that the Icelandic delegation is quite shocked ".

An Icelandic member of the delegation had previously tested positive for covid-19 and isolated himself.

The rest of the people in the delegation tested negative as late as Tuesday.

Eurovision then wrote that the country's artists had not been in direct contact with the infected person, but that they would still be tested on Wednesday and Thursday.

Iceland competes in the second semi-final of Eurovision with the song 10 years and the group Daði og Gagnamagnið.
