In addition to concerts and sporting events, Avicii arena will from 19 May be a forum for young people's mental health.

The goal is to invite school classes, decision makers and experts for activities and conversations.

In addition, an annual music gala will be held on the Tim Bergling Foundation's anniversary on 5 December.

- This is one of Sweden's most famous buildings and most visited buildings.

Being able to use the symbolic value in it to raise an issue like this feels very good, says Andreas Sand, CEO of Stockholm live, which runs Avicii arena.

He had said "ascoolt"

The Tim Bergling Foundation has been started by the Bergling family in memory of Tim Bergling and the focus is on preventive work in mental illness and suicide among young people.

- It's a huge problem.

Three young people take their lives every week in Sweden, says Klas Bergling, father of Tim Bergling.

For him, the Avicii arena has long been associated with Avicii, as he saw his son's two sold-out gigs take place at the Globe in 2012.

- I get a little moved when I think about it.

He sat there alone, at the bottom and charged before the show and then I felt "Oh little Tim" and then he stood up there and then he became big Tim, it was fantastic.

What do you think he would have said then if he had been told that the whole arena would be named after him?

- He had said "ascoolt", it is an expression I do not use, but he had said it, says Klas Bergling and laughs.

New kind of collaboration

Like Friends arena, it is other companies than those who name the arena that are responsible for the sponsorship money.

- It is a new kind of cooperation, that different parties come together on an important societal issue.

It can definitely be something you see more of in the future, says Andreas Sand.

The Globe is a popular arena.

Maybe there are people who find the name change difficult and want to keep saying Globen?

- If you already have a nickname, there is not much we can do about it and they may well have it then.

But Avicii is one of the greatest artists of our time and a Stockholm son, so we see that it is a very natural way to name the arena, says Sand.

But for Klas Bergling, it will take a while to get used to the fact that the Globe is named after his son.

- It will probably feel strange.

It's hard to take in, that little plot Tim as well.

But it's nice, he says.
